is hairdressing art?

IT'S THE CUT THAT COUNTS

ICONS was the exhibition that toured Australia and was presented in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and then Sydney at the Hair Expo 2000.  The idea was to present hair images that exemplified the artistic merits of the Australian and international hair fraternity in a format that demonstrated the ‘art’ inherent in the industry.

Hairdesigners consider themselves artists, however, few have exhibited their work in the classic gallery setting that ICONS GALLERY provided them.

MARKETING THE HAIR INDUSTRY

At the heart of the hair industry is the desire to be seen and heard, to express the passion that hair designers have for their work, their art and their love of people.  The most successful salons across the world have managed to get the formula right…a marketing mix that melds creativity with profitability.

It’s a difficult mix to get right.

In the modern era this has never been truer or more important, hair design entrepreneurs are often not marketing gurus!  But they need to be and we are here to help.
